States Where the IRS Has Extended the Tax Deadline

For most of the United States the 2024 tax filing deadline is April 15th, 2025. There are, however, a few areas of the country where the IRS is providing more time to due severe weather felt in those areas. The following is a list of the states/areas where the IRS has extended the filing deadline:

Storm victims in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North & South Carolina as well as parts of Tennessee. Extended to May 1st

Juno, Alaska. Extended to May 1st

Chaves county, New Mexico. Extended to May 1st

Wild fire victims in Los Angeles County California. Extended to October 15th

Storm victims in Kentucky & parts of West Virginia. Extended to November 3rd
